Graduate Technical Methods Seminar in Inclusive Design, focusing on technical methods of information gathering. In its ideal practice, the design of inclusive environments is preceded by an integrated process of information gathering in which the designer becomes intimately familiar with their site, program, and its users. These methods include both quantitative and qualitative approaches, ranging from direct observation to interpersonal conversation. The primary learning objective of this course is to understand and exercise the variety of methods and tools which are used to gather reliable information about a space and the way it directly impacts its occupants.
